Modern Slavery Statement
Ealing Movers Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Ealing Movers has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from taking place within our operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery does not occur in any part of our business.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
Ealing Movers maintains a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, child labour, servitude and debt bondage. This policy applies to every aspect of our organisation, including all employees, agency workers, contractors, and any third parties who act on our behalf.
No level of non-compliance is acceptable. Any confirmed breach of this policy by an employee will result in disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment. Any confirmed breach by a supplier or contractor may result in immediate suspension or termination of the commercial relationship.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Ealing Movers provides professional removals and related services. Our supply chains include, but are not limited to, vehicle and equipment providers, packaging material suppliers, facilities management, recruitment and labour agencies, and other professional service providers.
We recognise that certain sectors and regions can carry a higher risk of labour exploitation. We therefore aim to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, focusing particular attention on suppliers that use lower-skilled or temporary labour, or that operate in jurisdictions where labour protections may be weaker.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We expect all suppliers and business partners to uphold the same high standards that we apply to ourselves. Our supplier requirements include adherence to all applicable employment, health and safety, and human rights legislation, as well as a clear commitment to prohibiting forced, compulsory or trafficked labour.
As part of our due diligence process, we carry out risk-based checks on both new and existing suppliers. This may include requesting information on their labour practices, reviewing relevant policies, and assessing their own supply chain controls. Where we identify heightened risk, we may conduct more detailed assessments or on-site audits to verify compliance.
If a supplier fails to meet our standards or is unable to demonstrate adequate controls, we will work with them to agree corrective actions and reasonable timescales. Persistent failure or unwillingness to address issues will lead to a review of the commercial relationship, which may include suspension or termination.
Training, Awareness and Responsibilities
Responsibility for preventing modern slavery is shared across Ealing Movers. Senior management provides leadership and oversight, and managers are expected to promote ethical conduct and compliance within their teams.
We provide appropriate training and guidance to relevant employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement and supplier management. This training aims to raise awareness of modern slavery indicators, explain our internal processes, and support staff in identifying and reporting concerns.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Ealing Movers encourages all employees, workers, contractors and other stakeholders to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery, whether within our own operations or in our supply chains. Concerns can be raised with line managers or senior management in confidence.
We will investigate all reports promptly, fairly and sensitively. No person will suffer any form of retaliation or detrimental treatment for reporting a concern made in good faith, even if it is not substantiated by subsequent investigation.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We are committed to continuously improving our approach to identifying and addressing modern slavery risks. This includes reviewing our policies, risk assessments, training materials and supplier engagement activities to ensure they remain effective and proportionate.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least once every twelve months by senior management. As part of the annual review, we consider any incidents reported, audit findings, changes in legal or regulatory requirements, and developments within our industry. Where necessary, we will update our processes and this statement to reflect lessons learned, emerging risks and evolving best practice.
By maintaining strong standards, robust oversight and open reporting channels, Ealing Movers aims to ensure that modern slavery has no place in our business or our supply chains.
